ABOUT
Daniel de Jesús is a multidisciplinary artist whose work moves between visual art, music, and narrative. His paintings and illustrations draw from medieval and baroque traditions, Latin American devotional imagery, and mystical philosophy. His music and writing expand these same themes through voice, strings, and sound.
Across mediums, his work investigates identity, spirituality, and the psychological life of transformation. Many projects address queer experience, colonial history, and the spiritual language of ecstasy, devotion, and transcendence.
Rather than separate disciplines, Daniel treats each medium as a tool for storytelling. Paintings, songs, images, and performances form a single body of work that examines the interior life and the forces that shape it.
Through Daniel de Jesús Arts et Musica, he creates works that invite reflection on history, the sacred, and the emotional depths of human experience.

Hunt of the Unicorn is a metaphor for the psychological battle many people endure when their true selves are deemed unsafe by family, culture, or faith. It is a portrait of self-surveillance masquerading as protection, and of the cost of dimming one’s own radiance in order to survive. The painting holds this tension without resolution—capturing the moment when hiding is no longer sustainable, and the hunted self is already too luminous to disappear.
Rooted in earthy tones and natural texture, this vase draws the eye with its layered surface and sculptural presence. Its generous shape makes it ideal for statement arrangements—or as a work of art all its own.
